The idol of the god Pan is part of a much larger project which plans to illustrate a large portion of the divinities of the ancient Greek pantheon following the enormous impact that the culture of this people had on our way of thinking, of communicating, of giving value to things. It must be said that the Greek had the same admiration for the petrified and eternal instant that we have today for the dynamism of the image, therefore statuary is undoubtedly the appropriate method trough which to carry out this celebration. The choice of ceramics however, has different motives, the ancient were excellent ceramists and it is largely thanks to this material that we have been able to know their history, furthermore it is an extremely recyclable material, almost eternal which makes it a low-cost medium environmental impact. Furthermore, i was personally born and raised a stone's throw from the land of ceramics, Nove, the italian town where the fame of this art has gained international calibre. Pan is an extremely controversial figure, full of interpretative variations, there are even those who identify him as the real source from which we drew our modern devil. But in ancient times the God represent much more than a counterpart, he was the incarnation of natural strength, instinct, panic, nightmare, uncontainable passion, violent embrace and even of a maximum art such a music, a domain he shared with Apollo. Pan is the protagonist of numerous allegorical events, and among these one in particular deals with his passion for Selene, to whom we give the name Moon. This legend in an excellent bridge to rediscover the relevance of this divine influence in our daily life. every time we fall in love with the moon, every time we wish to have it close to us, we are in a Pan-ic delirious, every time we are caught by nightmare, by the panic of the power of everything that makes us lose all control, we are animated since Pan. He is still here.
