Profile • I was born and raised in British Columbia, Canada; • I currently live in Vancouver though I have lived in Europe and travelled extensively; • Art is, to me, a matter of passion, soul and sometimes whimsy. It reveals itself as emotional or intellectual energy or intensity in one’s work. • Although over the past 50 years I have experimented with a diversity of mediums I prefer working with acrylics on canvas. The intensity of colours and textures excites and motivates me. • I am self-taught as an artist though I have taken specific classes when I have had a wish to understand the basics of a particular medium. I am not good at taking direction over my creative thoughts. • I have not won any artistic awards, yet. I was Farmer of The Year in the Fraser Valley for advances in nontraditional hydroponic farming techniques and am a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Canada. Statement Art can liven the spirit of the viewer. It is rewarding to create and then observe reactions to what you have created whether good or bad.
