"Prehisitorica" continues Sheldon's explorations in expressive, abstract sculpture, this one having a 'natural history' influence. As a child, Sheldon frequented the Smithsonian museums in Washington, DC, and their influence continues to this day, as he was working on this sculpture, the body of an ancient, plated fish came to mind - no doubt influenced by the fossils seen as a child.
