EMONDThierry....ITI 18 Janvier 1963 .... autodidacte, mon mouvement artistique s’exprime depuis mon enfance, ou j’ai toujours voulu fabriquer, créer, réaliser des objets. J’aime le challenge technique et le défi de la matière. Mon intérêt pour ce matériau vient du rapport physique de force et de résistance mécanique que nous entretenons avec lui. Sa solidité apparente et sa malléabilité réelle est pour moi un moyen de rendre vivant et dynamique ce matériau qui semble inflexible. Par des méthodes de formage et d’assemblage, je transforme les feuilles de Zinc en volumes à l’air massif qui traduisent à la fois force et dynamisme. Born in January 1963 in Saint-Dizier (52) France, I am self-taught in what I do. I have expressed my artistic mouvement since my childhood, during which I'd always wanted to make and construct, objets ! I love the technical challenge and the challenge of the material. My interest in this material comes from the physical balance of power and strength that we have with it. The apparent strength and malleability is for me a real way to make it a lively and dynamic material that seems inflexible. By methods of forming and joining, I transform Zinc sheet into volumes that looks massive reflecting both strength and dynamism.
