Queen Elizabeth II is the third sculpture in my Iconic Women Series. Her total devotion to her role as British Queen inspired me to create a sculpture of her. To take on such a big role at such a young age and carry it through until her death is truly inspiring. I hope that people who see this sculpture can appreciate how I have captured her dedication in her facial features. I chose clay as my medium because it is possible to create a person's character by moulding their features in such a soft and tactile material. I use an additive process of adding a person's features onto a basic clay head shape.
