This portrait of Raksha was commissioned by her owners, who rescued her from a Thai home for wayward dogs. Her move from Bangkok to London in 2019 certainly saved her life. She is a very luck girl to have found such loving home. Raksha is available as a limited edition or a portrait of your own loved one can be arranged.

In addition to his work as an sculptor, Tom Gabbay is author of the Jack Teller series of historical spy novels, including "The Berlin Conspiracy," "Lisbon Crossing," and "The Tehran Conviction." His latest work is the psychological thriller, "Access Point." Tom began his studies in Europe, where he attended L'Ecole des Beaux Arts in Avignon, France. Upon completion of the course he enrolled in the Heatherly School of Fine Art in London where he studied painting and drawing. He spent many days copying paintings in the National Gallery, nights watching Peter Cooke and Dudley Moore perform in "Behind The Fridge" at the Cambridge Theatre, where he worked as an usher. Tom returned to the United States to attend the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts where he studied classical painting and sculpture. While at the the Academy, Tom contributed weekly political cartoons to the editorial page of the Philadelphia Daily News. Upon completing the four-year degree at the Academy, Tom spent a year studying film and animation at the Philadelphia College of Art, where he earned a BFA in film studies. In 1979 Tom moved to New York to pursue his growing interest in film. From his loft in Soho, he directed a series of award-winning animated shorts for the innovative children's program, "Sesame Street" and went on to direct several commercials and music videos. In 1981 Tom took up the position of Director of Children's Programs for NBC television. Two years later he became Director of Comedy Programs at NBC, overseeing the production of well known sitcoms such as "Cheers" and "Family Ties." Returning to London in 1990, Tom ran NBC's European production division until he left NBC to become Executive Producer of "The Wanderer," a 13-hour drama series shot in Salzburg, Munich, Madrid and London. Since 1996, Tom has written several screenplays for film and television, working with companies like Fox, Warner Brothers, BBC, Bertelsmann (UFA) and Hallmark Productions. Tom has recently returned to his love for the art of "lost wax" sculpture and over the past two years has completed several bronze portraits, both human and canine. He accepts commissions and will work with all art lovers to achieve a fitting portrait of a loved one.
