ABOUT THE ARTWORK
A small bird that have found a place to rest. I like working with the thin copperplate, both because of the way it feels to shape, it is thin and soft under the hammer but hard and smooth to touch. I also like the colours that it can have when patinated, in this little one I have chosen a quite dark and calm shade to reflect the bird nesting for the night.

I am an artist born in 1972. I am living in the forrests in the south west of Sweden. I my education is as blacksmith and iron sculptor and I still use metal as one of my main materials although I verry much have been working in clay and concrete in the latest years. I am verry interested in humans and the subconscious. Often inspired by dreams, misunderstandings, or things I see that I interprete wrongly. Like trees in the mist, and animals moving in the corner of the eye.
