About The Artwork

Rezykliert DESIRE was made from a self-produced wood pulp. This statue symbolizes desire and longing. This self-produced wood paste was elaborately modeled, combined with long drying times. Afterwards, the final form was carved out.

« Art helps me to express myself when words are missing. It is my retreat and helps me to be with myself, to lose myself in my own world. » Sandra Brugger (*1986) is a freelance self-employed sculptress based in Austria whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Germany and Italy. Through her works she processes experiences, emotions and situations that have touched her. The subjects and themes presented in Brugger's pieces are expansive and range from abstract shapes and nature, to humans. Her distinctive pieces are most often created using wood.
