My husband carves the rivers and islands into the wood (birchwood) and stains it that gorgeous copper-toned canyon color and then hands it off to me where I mix and pour the resin into the riverbed. I then use my famous painting technique to create waves and depth in the resin, working very quickly before it sets with a blow torch and implements that allow me to get the resin to expand and contract.
