About The Artwork
When I read in the news about the alpha males taking their sons to Africa for their "right of passage" to become a man and shooting down large animals to be brought back home and displayed on their walls I have no choice but to laugh. I chose sewing machines to symbolize the masses, since I cannot imagine a machine more proletariat, more fit to describe the working class. I chose real animal horns that were purchased in flea markets.
