ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The title is purely for identification although it relates to the day that the bronze casting was cut. Sand-casting bronze produces a solid material that can be cut, drilled, welded or shaped at will. The triangular side apertures have frayed edges whereas the top edges, cut to slope, are smooth and polished natural bronze. The vessel stands quite securely but for added stability the optional oxidised brass base is easily fitted.
