Sea Globes are a major part of my work and have sold internationally. Their influence comes from the shoreline where I live on the west coast of Pembrokeshire.

This Sea Globe, made of white earthenware clay is beautifully tactile. Fired several times to create a layering effect of the hand painted glazes, the piece is finished with a gold lustre rim.

Sea Globes are made in my studio overlooking the sea on the west coast of Pembrokeshire, please see my other Sea Globes for sale.

Sea Globes are non functional pieces of ceramic sculpture.

A British ceramic artist and studio potter based in Pembrokeshire on the west coast of Wales, United Kingdom. Richard's work is influenced by the stunning coastal setting of his studio and the connection to its industrial past. Some of Richard's work has been described as abstract impressionism using ceramics as his vehicle to evoke a feeling or essence of what exists in his coastal environment. Whereas some work pushes the boundaries into pop art and pop ceramics. Richard has a genuine interest in architecture and this is reflected in the strong forms he creates with clay.
