Nancy Od Wilson

Nancy O’D Wilson is an artist based in Baltimore, MD. She earned her MFA from the Hoffberger School of Painting at the Maryland Institute College of Art in 1981, and studied under Grace Hartigan. Her work incorporates ancestral Irish laces with mixed media painting and sculpture. The structures of her work echo Bauhaus principles, and her color usage is influenced by Josef Albers. In 1981 she helped organize Maryland Art Place. Wilson has exhibited extensively in Maryland, New York, including the Guggenheim Museum, London, and across the USA. Awards include grants from the State of Maryland Department of Economic & Community Development in 1988, and Individual Grants from the Maryland State Arts Council in 1999, and the Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance in 2012.
