ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Murano glass sculpture in crystal and coral and black glass applications, the chemical reaction to produce the bubbles was made with pulverized metals added to the molten glass mass. I often use various types of metals to create unusual chemical reactions and colours. For me glass is life. I imagined this work while visiting the seabed near Stomboli in the Mediterranean, I was bewitched by it. Unique work of 2010.

I was born in Ferrara (Italy) in 1957 and I studied at the Nicolò Copernico Technical Institute in Ferrara. In 1983 I designed a vase with sunflowers for the Fratelli Toso glassworks in Murano, they were enthusiastic about it and from that moment my career began on the glass island of Murano. After a few years I became master glassmaker. I like to continuously experiment with new techniques, I use the metal melted in the glass to obtain particular reflections and effects. Even today, after so many years, I still have a great desire for experimentation
