I used household waste for this sculpture: I pulverized egg cartons, mixed them with cement, plaster and latex, and formed shapes by hand. I painted the shapes and put them on two lilac branches that I prepared for skewering. The foundations have a bit more ratio of cement to paper, for stability. The balls are quite lightweight and easy to move around. Some natural knots on the branches dictate the stop points - you could use this feature to stack the balls in your preferred order.
