About The Artwork

" Surfaces developed in space" is a spacious sculptural installation. The surface itself is the backbone of this work - closing or opening the space as a whole. Breaking the surface in some places, the surface opens and continues to move in the opposite direction, giving insight into another imaginary surface and space. Through three geometric semicircles which, with different arrangements in space, form a sculpture as a whole, giving it architectural significance as well, presenting it as part of a whole gallery, an interior and exterior natural or urban space. When viewed from above, it forms a spiral maze of surfaces inserted into one another, forming a series of three tin, geometrically arranged sculptures. Different layouts of geometric surfaces give us different art installations, differently developed surfaces in space. Looking at the geometric surfaces separately, they create a single sculpture in the space on the front, opening the space and closing it on the opposite side. In this paper we relate the surface to space by creating an illusion - the illusion of space. Through smaller cuts and bends on the surface in the opposite direction, we get the appearance of additional surrounding space. This art installation can be installed in an interior, museum or interior, and in an outdoor urban or natural space. "Surfaces developed in space" are pure surfaces reduced to a pure material aesthetic object, as an aspiration for dematerialization and intervention on the surfaces. The conceptual content is contained in the work “ Surfaces developed in space”, creating the whole concept of an artistic installation of postmodern sculpture, architecture in the modern day. Using geometric shapes and geometric composing methods, and industrial and technical performances of work, the surfaces developed in space at the same time are geometric abstraction of presenting an abstract conception of reality.
