Born in Madrid in 1974, sculptor and high end furniture designer, Gonzalo de Salas reached the tortuous world of art like many other artists, after previously cultivating other disciplines. After having worked some years in international advertising agencies in Madrid, Spain, he left one year off to study at the University of California Berkeley in the U.S. While all this was happening he never ceased his tireless artistic work that soon enough his return back in 2003 became the project of his life. With time past his hard work, creativity and art pieces have obtained the price of recognition through clients and projects not only in his own country but also worldwide. Gonzalo de Salas, a self-taught artist, began his career initially experimenting with figurative bronze sculptures related to decorative arts, but his artistic maturity was obtained when he experienced an evolution towards abstract conceptualism. Timeless works of the highest quality made in rusted cor-ten steel and stainless steel, which portrait abstract and inspirational shapes that catch the viewers attention by the essence of it's beauty. Nowadays Gonzalo de Salas has multiply his creative capacity adding high end artistic furniture design to his portfolio creations.
