ABOUT THE ARTWORK
A bronze family portrait. The teal patina is unusual and it looks interesting as the surface is slightly textured. The faces, knees and feet (they don't really have feet ;-))are golden polished as it presents highlights to the sculpture. The travertine base is hand selected from the quarry in New Mexico. The figures are signed in the mold but numbered separately then mounted with a mounting pin into the stone base. They might not be glued in so you could choose to seat them elsewhere in the future. Unusual for my work, these figures are more rustic in feel. I created the master a while back but decided not to work on a whole series. I can also create a family of four. Please request a commission that case. Sorry, no pets or other children to chose from in that color and finish.

Bronze sculpture is the ultimate and since I had been a child I wanted to work in that medium. It took a few iterations. I was a printmaker and painter for almost 20 years, until I started to seriously pursue work in sculpture and bronze in 2008. During that time I still owned a fine art gallery in Copenhagen, Denmark. In 2014, I moved back to Santa Fe, NM a great place for artists and worked exclusively on my sculptures since. My studio is busy with custom orders and family portraits from miniature to monumental.
