A three-dimensional wire line generates two-dimensional drawings, traveling on the surface of a volume that does not exist. The viewer is forced to create an only suggested volume. Relative to the human being, the spheres occupy the infinitely small and the infinitely large... and distant.

Carmine Leta has experimented with different art ‘languages’ and techniques, creating videos, installations, and performances focused on the processes of ‘symbolization’ and use of the concepts of emptiness, utopia, and both individual and collective identity. Latterly, his research has focused on sculpture, mainly in filo-di-ferro (wire), aimed at achieving the subtraction of that material’s own constituent elements: its weight, its staticness, its volume. This work involves empty, light, and moving objects that can be looked through, inviting the observer to ‘fill’ the only-suggested volume - and to bring into focus the in-fact illusory portion of space between him or herself and the Infinite.
