I am Lahore based artist, also working as Lecturer Fine Arts in the University of Home Economics. Completed M.Phil. in Art and Design from Punjab University in 2020 and Bachelors in Fine Arts from Lahore College for Women University in 2016 with Gold Medal and Distinction. I have participated in various group shows in well known Art Galleries of Pakistan. Artist Statement: My work presents Calligraphy as a form of Fine Arts which is associated with Mundane Life Art rather than a spiritual one. For me, Calligraphy means decorative handwriting irrespective of specified content, language or image. These works are produced to introduce Calligraphy as a strong branch of Visual Arts and to break a conventional concept of calligraphy which is being restricted to Holy and literary content especially in Pakistan.
