About The Artwork
The Edge is also another commission piece. The owner wanted a piece that was modern is styling but have a rustic look. We choose Corten steel to have the everlasting weathered look and to blend well with the grassy sloped hillside. So where did the design come from? I have always been fascinated with press brakes (A type of machinery that bends heavy plate). I wanted the look of a curvy plate with two bends like those found in a press brake. This made The Edge simple in design yet stand out while being conspicuous in its surroundings.

He combines years of experience in metal fabrication and engineering design to realize the creation of each piece. His sculptures have been described as modern, industrial, mid-century and minimalist. Well into his second decade as a sculptor, Esmoreit’s work is a part of many public and private collections all over the world.
