ABOUT THE ARTWORK
My totems, which are created by combining crystals and bronze seedpods, are a ceremonial celebration of a life reforged. While the sacred feminine seedpods are held up as the focal points, the pieces intentionally combine masculine and feminine energies – both in the conceptualisation of the works and their physical manufacturing. It is the inextricable interweaving of these two elements that is ultimately life-giving at its core. Totems are symbolic of the sacred connection between the realms of heaven and earth. Sodalite is the stone of idealism and truth. The bronze seedpod is a Candelabra Lily and the oval ceramic with a matte black finish is an egg, further embodying the idea of rebirth, and rejuvenation in the cycle of life. Materiala: Bronze Candelabra Lily seedpod with blue Sodalite gemstones and a ceramic geometric sphere. Stainless steel base with patinated brass cladding.

"My sculptures are infused with intention, and positive energy, and I hope they will bring joy, beauty and a sense of wonder to your daily life.” Inspired by significant changes in her personal life, Sarah's first collection was a series of oversized bronze seedpods. By celebrating each seedpod's unique and beautiful natural form, she pays homage to the birth, life, and death cycle in nature and our own lives. In her second collection, Sarah was inspired by her shamanic travels to Peru. She started building sacred totems, which to her represent the link between heaven and earth. Her totems range from small sacred coffee-table objects to powerful structures that stand two metres (80 inches) tall.
