My Name is Izabel Nemechek. I am from a small and very beautiful country called Bulgaria. I graduated in civil engineering, then working in architectural offices, but I felt like something was always pulling me elsewhere. Ten years ago, a strong creative call and a life force awoke, which were gaining more and more energy. For some time I lived in a deep internal conflict, not sure whether to go into the unknown direction or to continue on the familiar path. I was going forward blindly. I was doing things gradually, without thinking about the result. I let the process guide me, I painted and rediscovered clay. To this day, it continues to bring me the greatest satisfaction, freedom, and joy in life. As a self-taught artist, I developed my skills in the work process. I was experimenting and learning - from what I have read, what I have seen, from experience and most of all from my mistakes. I found myself and felt the power of devotion. I realized that when something comes from the heart, it is blessed by the universe. Over time, my style developed, I gained more technical skills. This is a process that continues, learning never stops. I like to experiment and rarеly repeat anything I've already done. I work only by hand and everything is unique, even if the theme is the same. My “dream behind the dream” is to create emotions and to set them free. Characters are born spontaneously, by my imagination or from something I had seen. Fairy-tail motifs are intertwined into many of the clay figures. Each sculpture has to tell its own story. With my works I invite people to rediscover their childish nature. The playful part of us is spontaneous, curious, experimental, dynamic and dreams boldly. Her natural state is "now." Although we have already grown up, we can make friends with the vitality and energy of the child in us and I am happy when with my sculptures I manage to give life to this magical connection. I have participated in several art events and 3 solo exhibitions and thus I was able to contact people and get feedback from them about my work. I usually work with white clay and decorate with ceramic engobes and glazes. All sculptures are fired 2 times in an electric kiln at a final temperature of 1065 degrees Celsius. The dimensions of the sculptures vary between 20 and 40 cm.
