About The Artwork

Every time the moon Looks at me It feels a little closer. This artwork is about experimentation, exploration, fantasy, whimsy and joy of creation. Creating elements for this piece, assembling and taking apart, working out connections of being was a lot of fun (and sometimes struggle). A sturdy frame is built from two plastic hula hoops bound together. Abandoned fabrics become alive and shine in this playful piece. The artwork is equipped with steel wire and ready to hang. Lightweight, it will be shipped securely packed in layers of bubblewrap and cardboard panels in a sturdy cardboard box. This artwork works well together with its sister creation - "The Other Side of the Moon - Second Appearance". You can hang them side by side, or slightly buried into each other, like a photo in details shows. They do grow into each other.

Poetry, music, rebellion, femininity, humour and wonder of my world reveal themselves in images, both soft and hard, always mysterious, always in layers of meaning. My stories emerge like flowers opening up their petals, one at a time, as I try to bring to light all the facets of a certain moment in time, of a beautiful memory. But in the end, or in the beginning, it's all about love. I explore painting as a connection to our human vulnerability, of which love is its ultimate manifestation. https://www.instagram.com/gone_with_chinook/
