Guillaume LANCELIN, born on 28 September 1974, works in his studio in Beaumont-du-Gâtinais in île de France. Guillaume LANCELIN has graduated his visual arts studies at Iscom in Paris, France. His artistic exhibitions in France from 2002 to 2012: exhibition «1+1» Usine Paul Signac in Montreuil (93), exhibition «Rezident» in Montreuil (93), exhibition in Barbizon (77), exhibition Auction rooms Osentat in Fontainebeau (77), exhibition «ACA» in Rodez (12), exhibition «Le Blois Fleuri dans tous ses états » in Larchant (77), exhibition studio Tristan Bernard (Paris 8th). Guillaume LANCELIN likes working metal materials such as iron, copper and zinc, as well as he likes working with patina and colour/pigment. As sculptor since 1999, he experiences how much the artistic creation can change the violence in positive emotions. His main source of inspiration is aiming at perfection in the aesthetics of an oeuvre. In this private exhibition, Guillaume LANCELIN presents a junction of five themes that shapes his new collection of sculptures : «Inside Powers » represents animal forms that express figures of amorous parades by their attitudes. A wonderful variation of this first theme, called «Vertical inside Powers », shows a reciprocity between these sculptures and an oeuvre "on the wall", proposing an entirely lively painting to the spectators. «Passages » is formed of raw metal panels that are delicately sculpted in transparency. The paradox between these heavy materials and the lightness of their handling is a projection of a form of abstract metalanguage that is positive in its assumption of strength and serenity. «Key to Paradise » stages sculptures that want to communicate conceptually a subconscious representation of love. Every one of it chained by force and tenderness, searching to rise up to the sky and in that way floating in space and time. «Key indicators» presents mobile sculptures as delicate representations of femininity in its balance, in search of serenity and harmony. «The Soul» shows vertical compositions associated to a same oeuvre Peintures et Sculptures (paintings and sculptures), such as the sublimation of concepts that are developed in the whole of this new collection of lively materials that are sculpted for consideration. This black and ultramarine blue universe, intense, raising colours of the cosmos and the infinity in every one of us for the artist.
