ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This organic object references figures and the human body while being positioned firmly in the world of sculptures. My curiosity about the relationship between various forms of creative expression ranging from fine art and traditional craft to modern design helps me to make connections between the fields of art, craft, and design in this object. I made this unique form by hand-building method (coil technique). Also, I used two different kinds of glaze for the surface, shiny and matt.

Since I started experimenting with clay, my artwork reframes historical sculptures from a contemporary, cross-cultural perspective. By exploring the dialogue between traditional and contemporary art, in many ways, they represent simultaneously the strengths of tradition and modernity elements. I juxtapose these two things in the form of new ones to make a bridge between traditional values and modern concepts. I am currently working on discovering how computer-aided technologies incorporated into creative art practices.
