About The Artwork

Track n1 is the first symbol, it’s a product of a long process of condensation with the aim of crystalling the idea of the divine, the missed divine idea in human perception. The sorceress in the homeric story revealst o the hero the adventures he must do in the journey; in this series our onirical paths open up, it reveals itself yet it stays away, it hides, it’s the ancient dream that materialises itself before our deepest intimate needs, it’s the absolute and unspeakable truth that has never met the human being; the work tries to rappresnt a small fragment of a spiritual collective consciousness.

Mainoni is a sculptor who perseveres in study, research and experimentation; a linguistic research that originates from the mythological figures of antiquity, strongly linked to drawing and to a decisive and frank plasticity with an almost severe line style. His figures and themes unfold around a poetic research of an anthropological nature, linked to the psychology and impulses of the human soul, characters that we see emerge and vibrate on the surface of the works, trapped in dreamlike atmospheres that do not follow the laws of reality.
