Transform your business USA Sculpture

Currently I'm letting the materials and process to determine both action and outcome. Painting has been the foundation of my life as an artist, and I continue to draw from it, however now I incorporate a different set of materials and break from the two dimensional surface. The interaction of the plaster and the newspapers are what I m painting with and I'll pick from a wide range of newspapers wherever I can find them. So far I've been able to include papers written in Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, English and Vietnamese because I can find those in local markets or when I'm in another city. Newspapers are wrinkled and wadded then laid out under a wire mesh then plaster is spread over that. After completely dry the burning and pulling begins. The burning will spread and change the inks while the pulling leaves a transfer of the newspaper in reverse. When it's ready I look and decide what stays and what goes and what gets burned. Being subtractive rather than additive like all of the art I have made up to this point is both confusing and exciting The overall effect is of a landscape covered with images and text spread across it. A love and nostalgia for newspapers is at the root. From there it expands into many other relationships and intersections.
