In this mixed media 3D piece, I investigate the concept of “upcycling” — the process of transforming by-products, waste materials, useless, or unwanted products into new materials or products of better quality or for better environmental value. This work, completed in 2018, delves into the complex notion that nature apparently succeeds despite the intrusions of the human species. Perhaps the Earth is better off after the reign of mankind.
