WHIRLWIND; #5 Sculpture

I created several of these sculptures after finding leftover parts from a manufacturer. I had several new parts made in stainless and polished the stainless; after finding the critical "touch points", and balance points, I find these small sculptures have a lot of movement with the polished surfaces. I have created others five feet tall + the base to make them 8 feet tall, mirror polished stainless, and one or two big ones in rust. Very enjoyable with a contemporary setting, or outdoors reflecting the environment. The overall movement reminds me of the desert whirlwinds which form spontaneously in the summers of the great Sonora Desert.
