About The Artwork
Dripped wax Hello Kitty sculpture. Wire ring in back of head for hanging. I began by making sculptures of dripped tar. My mother's surgeon described her cancer as "it's as if someone had poured tar over her insides". I wanted to visualize that. Although I soon abandoned the technique after seeing an artist with a similar style that was already firmly established. The colorful wax style is a substitute for tar. I use the wax to create slightly grotesque and unsettling versions of iconic figures and images.

I'm a software engineer by profession. My professional career has allowed a deep involvement in the realtime computer graphics industry; from high performance 3D graphics processors to video game development. Education is a passion and I enjoy working with kids. I run a non-profit initiative to teach primary-school aged children to make video games.
