About The Artwork

Wegmarke is questioning us: Where do we stand and where does the path lead us? The archaic materials (stone, wood, natural hair and feathers) enable us to get in touch with basal layers of our subconsciousness. The question here is divided into: Who am I, where do I want / need to go, what can I do for my loved ones - or even for all of us? The base is made of areated stone encased in Stukko Lustro. The wood is a find from the Baltic Sea. The seagull feathers hang from a thin steel strand covered with natural hair.
