About The Artwork

Wrestling is the sport where physical strength, dexterity, quick and responsive reactions, fighting technique play a decisive role in success. This pose captures in static form one short dynamic moment, during which one of the wrestlers manages to grab a hold that causes his opponent to lose his balance. From the plastic we can feel the tension, the excitement of the fight, the muscles of the wrestlers are strained to the point of bursting. We perceive that this is one of the most exciting moments of the fight. The sculpture is intended not only for wrestlers or lovers of martial arts, but also for sports fans. It can also be an inspiration for anyone who needs to deal with life's obstacles or overcome difficult life situations. The Wrestlers sculpture will give them strength, energy, determination and endurance...

I was born in 1990 in Budapest. As a small child, I hung out in the studio of my father - the prominent Hungarian sculptor Erno Toth. As a schoolboy, I already actively helped him in modeling and casting his sculptures. Between 2008 and 2010, I studied biology at the University of Szeged. However, my desire to realize my creative potential was stronger, so I still graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts and Painting and became a professional artist. The motifs of my sculptural works are still diverse. In my sculptures, I like to capture dynamic moments and characteristic poses of athletes, animals, and birds. I try to immortalize a dynamic moment of movement into a static bronze form. However, my figurative work is also inspired by philosophical, mythological, literary or film subjects. I had about two dozen individual exhibitions or joint exhibitions with my father in Hungary and in several European countries. Perhaps hundreds of my works are already in the hands of collectors on all continents.
