I am inspired by New Historicism in Art, with special attention to the role of creative objects in improving our social life and connecting different cultures, regions, and periods of civilizations. I primarily look at samples from Asia Minor, Mesopotamia, Egypt, and the rest of the world. A historical reading that focuses on a common visual language between cultures can improve the possibilities of dialogue. Ancient civilizations gave a special place to animals, creating ideas of holiness by combining parts of animals and human bodies. In our days, these iconographical representations may create new meanings for how we relate to the universe we live in as humans. I hope viewers have a more inclusive vision between races and species, reflecting on these objects and having the images around them. These new forms may motivate them to reflect and change daily habits to create a better world. I try to revive the long forgotten ancient world in which the feminine culture and goddesses were dominant. And woman's body was not seen as a sexual object but a nurturing and giving life gift. Ceramic, as a material and a process standard, is used to describe my personal growth elements and artistic concerns. Starting with clay is a perfect medium to think about our origins, human relations, and materia prima as earth, water, air, and fire. The good result in clay to become a ceramic piece needs to have a good balance between these materials. As an artist, I share my process of reflection at best with this material. I include imperfections and cracks in my work to motivate acceptance of our own missing parts. Each of us needs to put ourselves together after struggle and continue. During difficult times or trauma, we might need to feel connected to others and not be the only one to suffer. All the potential salvation is in ourselves.
