Angela Davies is an interdisciplinary artist based in Wales. Angela engages with contemporary themes within the context of site, space and process. The works interaction allows for intimate experiences that encourage altered perceptions between inner and outer space. This extends to reflections upon the way the environment is experienced and imagined. She draws upon a hybrid of traditional disciplines alongside creative technologies to create interactive eco-light sculptures and installation. The use of these technologies translates the idea of communication and connectivity. Angela is the Co-Director of Studio MADE, a cross-disciplinary studio and gallery space in Denbigh and is a resident artist at Pervasive Media Studio, Bristol. She has exhibited on an international level and has work within public and private collections in the UK, Europe and the USA. She completed her MA at Manchester School of Art in 2013. She has undertaken residencies and commissions for Arts Council of Wales, Cadw, the National Trust and BBC Connected Studios with NESTA. She has been the recipient of several awards including Research & Development and Production Grants from Arts Council Wales and A-N New Collaborations Bursary to fund participation in the International Symposium of Electronic Art (ISEA2014).
