Art Description

Sculpture: Paper, Paper mache, Plastic on Cardboard, Plastic, Other.

David Bowie was a legendary music icon, way ahead of his time. He pushed boundaries not only with his musicality but with his androgynous style and appearance, opening doors and inspiring many young artists today. Bowie defines what it means to be a true artist.

This work is a representation of craft and quality. I've chosen to portray a piñata because its purpose is to be thrown away, instead I wanted to create a piece that is timeless, contradicting its original function.
