In 2000 I discovered bamboo and I fall in love. Since 2004 I have been travelling around the world to study and to investigate bamboo. I have been in India, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, Central and South America looking for the true essence of bamboo. Bamboo is one of the most fascinating plants: amazing natural properties, multiple utilities and it bears deep spiritual and symbolic charges. Moreover, bamboo links different cultures and relates to millenary traditions. I look for balance. I focus on bamboo organic structure: flexibility, lightness, density and resistance...combining tensions and counterweights, to draw in the air bamboo swings. Since 2013, I am developing a collection of habitable sculptures, which define architectural spaces. These pieces are destined to “clean” the space around us, and convert it into an empty zone wherein to meditate, relax and chill. I call them “Energy Domes”.
