ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I do booksculpting. The pattern shown by the cutting edges of stacked printed pages thrill me over and over again. Unwanted altered books get to new life by giving it a facial expression. Most of my bookfaces are wallhanging sculptures. This book face sculpture is composed of handcarved book pages, bound into parts of the original cover and offwhite leather. The cutting edges are slightly colored. The face shows different expressions depending on the lighting. Hanger in the back
