In the New Bud series, I aim to capture the moment of life’s emergence and the empty space that holds the potential for creation. The inspiration for this work comes from the delicate balance between life’s fragility and its ability to thrive in seemingly empty spaces, much like a seed growing in fertile soil. The smooth, reflective surface of forged and polished stainless steel represents the artificial world, while the soft texture of washi paper affixed inside brings in the organic, natural element. The combination of these materials mirrors the harmony between man-made and natural forces, a recurring theme in my work. I hope viewers feel a sense of wonder and contemplation about the duality between what is seen and unseen, solid and ethereal, and how life grows in unexpected places. I chose stainless steel for its strength and reflective quality, allowing the viewer to see themselves within the work, while the washi paper adds warmth and softness, offering a contrast to the cold metal. This interplay of textures creates a visual and tactile experience, encouraging reflection on the balance between nature and human creation

I was born in Tokyo 1963. living in israel since 1992. Listening to my inspiration rises and new creation appears, becoming alive. Metal can be transformed in endless ways. It is brought from the depth of the earth and is formed by fire, air and water. The process of its creation contains all the elements of life. I discovered joy and freedom in Metal art since my studies at Art high school and Tamagawa University in Tokyo, Japan. Through creativity I could find myself. I appreciate that after 30 years of working in metal still excited to experiment with metal endless possibilities: forging, design, kinetic sculptures, environmental art, figurative and abstract forms etc. A new dimension of metal that I explore recently is sound.creating musical instruments and performing since 2001. my vision is to unite all art media- Form, material, rhythm and movement in my creation and I would like to share it with you!
