I started my career in art in 2000 with a passion for graffiti. Drawing on the street laid the foundation for my further creative activity. Having played enough with writing letters, I started to experiment with abstraction, ornamentality and light projections in an urban environment. While creating graffiti font the main task is to rework the letters in your author's style, sometimes changing them beyond recognition. Now I am doing the opposite: starting with an abstract form, I move towards a recognizable image, sustainable harmony. In my works, I balance on the brink when the brain begins to capture some familiar image, but at the same time, it does not have enough information to complete this image. Sometimes I bring abstraction to a non-existent cartoon character. I always leave room for further play, for building a different image. By offering only hints, I execute the entire layer of information that a person has absorbed with eyesight during his life up to the present moment. And the more data he or she has, the more he or she will be able to build images. In the Internet era, a person is overloaded with visual flows, the global wave of content erases local differences and creates a new kaleidoscope of cultures. I want to interact with this accumulated information through my work. All my previous experience was connected with sheet or wall surfaces, now I use sheet-like materials and create volumetric works where each color has its own thickness and layer. I deliberately abandon human-made techniques, I do not want the performance technique to distract viewers from pure forms. My work looks like industrial objects, although most of my work are hand-built. I use MDF and concrete casting in the manufacture of sculptures. My childhood is connected with these materials, when the construction of panel houses was a playground, later their walls became my canvas.
