this piece remindsme of looking under a microscope in grade school/hence the title.i started w/ hundreds of hand cut circles and ovals,layered many times to create each "germ",affixed them on a black background of like shapes.and coated each step w/resin for depth and durability,the piece comes framed in a metal frame.the work is on a sheet of pexiglass,painted blue from behind
