Why a horse? Horses are one of the most harmonious and intelligent animals. To convey their image, grace and inner world is a delicate task for a creative person. I decided that it would be a challenge to myself. There are people who love order: they cannot start work until everything is laid out on the table in its place. I confess - I am one of them. It helps me in my work. I regard sculpture as an integral object consisting of many parts and each detail must be "tidied up", must find its rightful place, must "work" together with the rest. And until I achieve this, it's hard for me to calm down) It often happens that you have to make a choice: which of the snags to put in a certain place, they all fit and one gets up better than the other - this is creative torment and here you have to trust only your own inner voice. And it so happens that you can't find a single suitable part, it's awful, you try on one snag - it doesn't fit, another - doesn't fit, the fifteenth - not that! Then I switch to another part of the sculpture and work on it, and then at some point, I accidentally come across a suitable piece that I could not find. The assembled sculpture is an emotional rest. This is the pleasure from the image embodied by your hands from your head. This is freedom for a new image.

Russia
Let’s get to know each other! Igor Rogovsky, architect, construction worker, sculptor. Live and work in Russia. I make driftwood products. I’ve designed more than 200 wooden houses. I’ve personally built 5 wooden houses using the Norwegian technology and soon my family will be living in one of those houses. I absolutely love wood, work with it and I respect this material so much since I feel like it has a very special energy. Why did my choice fall on this material ? It’s because I love harmony, I love turning harmony into not just a structure but a piece of art. Organizing simple and complex pieces of wood into one elegant form is indeed an interesting job. Creating something beautiful and unusual while preserving the environment and drawing my inspiration from nature – that’s my goal.
