Umut Hevi Çelik is a sculptor and contemporary artist born in 1985 in Taşlıçay, Ağrı (Turkey). He studied Fine Arts Education at Uludağ University and received additional training from renowned Turkish sculptors Mustafa Karyagdi and Günal Salt. His work explores deep themes such as sexual violence, identity, and existential emptiness. Using materials like bronze, wood, barbed wire, and plexiglass, Çelik creates intense figurative sculptures that reflect both personal trauma and collective memory. He has created over 300 works and exhibited in multiple cities across Europe and Turkey. Çelik is the founder of Nu Hevi Art Studio and currently works between Turkey and the Netherlands. His recent exhibition QALIK in Amsterdam addressed themes of gender violence and the body as a site of resistance
