Denislav Sirakov was born in 1977 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. He has started making sculptures since the age of six. “There is hunger for art! People have withdrawn and lost touch with each other in the past two years and there is obviously even more need to show them what the valuable and the beautiful is in order to be able to revert back to our normal relations”, says Sirakov. He does not accept those distorted trends in art, disguised in the form of modern ideas, and he believes that classical expressions are the most effective and proper way towards aesthetic education. Now he also shows marble works and this in itself is a phenomenon in his creative life, because, as he confesses, for ten years he has been “angry” at the stone. In general, Sirakov mostly works with metal and he has also graphics painted with 23K gold. Denislav Sirakov is a graduate from the Faculty of Fine Art at St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo and he succeeds to his father’s profession – the sculptor Ivan Sirakov. He has already held exhibitions in Sofia, Veliko Tarnovo, Plovdiv and other Bulgarian cities and participated in numerous competitions. His works make part of many private collections in the country and abroad. He is the winner of number of prizes.
