`near mythology ´ Sculpture

There´s a story to this object ! In 1952 my father was taking a trip to the Mandi Khel Dam, in North Pakistan and took along his children to see the region close to the Afghan border, the Khyberpass and the ruins of Taxila. In that arid zone , on the wide windswept barren plains, we, the children, found many interesting things in the sand .Rock cristalls, antique fragments of copper jewelry, some ceramic shards and even a coin from the era of Alexander the Great. We were invited by a geologist, who was prospecting in that area. His house was full of fascinating relics among which I spotted some odd bones. I was full of awe at the vision of an ancient inhabitant of Taxila walking barefoot in the fields outside of the city. The geologist gave me these bones along with a number of perfect pure quartzes as a souvernir of our visit. Now they are here, worthily contained in a unique piece of art !
