This piece is the first in a release series. I use the term release in the sense of when a wellspring of energy is released organically as a young plant unfolding. * This piece is wall mounted and requires installation of 2 lag bolts aligned vertically into a solid wall substrate (wood 2x4s under wallboard or plaster). All hardware is supplied. Please allow 2 weeks for crating before shipping.

Working in art for me is process of opening and receptivity and at the same time a path of discovery of the unknown. There is a Japanese word Ma (間) which can be roughly translated as "gap", "space", "pause" . It is best described as a consciousness of place, not in the sense of an enclosed three-dimensional entity, but rather the simultaneous awareness of form and non-form. My work aims to express a place extending beyond the veil of tangible form, seeking the space between the physical and the non-physical.
