Marta ŚLiwińSka-Piegza

Following my education I endeavour to blend landscape architecture with passion to create and paint plants. The only difference you might notice, is that I transfer my ideas onto canvas instead of designing gardens, although I must admit I loved creating hand painted visuals for landscape and garden designs.

I was growing up in the rural area of the Sudety Mountains, surrounded by nature, which has shaped my sensibility to understand its rules and cycles, to see a human as an inseparable part of it.

When I grew older, my dream of being an artist grew with me. I have always felt I wanted to be painter, responding to the world around, making it accessible for those who could not be present in this particular moment to see it, catch it like a shutter, naturally.

I admire various artists and I'm inspired with their style, I love different aesthetics and find it as a continuous source of inspiration, but I also developed my own world of imagination, which is to be find on canvas... Elements, emotions and feelings come all together to present my vision of surrounding world and my imagination.

Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences - Landscape Architecture 2000-2005, attending classes lead by head lecturers of Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, University of Wrocław, and Wrocław University of Science and Technology leading to an MA at National Exhibition of Azalias in Arboretum Wojslawice.
