Elma Hashemi

I was born in 1986.After finishing high school in Dubai,.,I persuade my passion and graduated from the American University of Dubai with the bachelor degree in visual communication in art.I further expanded my knowledge in design by attaining a masters degree in Interior Design.In my childhood I was amazed by the colors of nature and inspired by old photographs and paintings specially from the persian Qajar era.The architecture and rich culture of the Middle East have always been my source of inspiration.As I grew up painting became an integrated part of me and I learned how to enjoy painting without restricting myself to classic boundaries.I was able to come up with my own style of applying and combining ancient and modern techniques that would best portray my respect to the past and interest in modernity.The central theme in my works is Women.I aim to portray and accentuate the Beauty of women's feelings and emotions, often overshadowed by their appearance.
