Maja Bogaczewicz

An artist, a filmmaker, and qualified art teacher, Maja Bogaczewicz graduated with a master's degree in visual arts and an emphasis in intaglio printmaking. Recently she works mostly with oil paints.
During studies, she began working as camerawoman and film editor for documentary film projects. She filmed and co-wrote a German-Polish documentary about the Polish city of Szczecin.
In Krakow, her hometown, where she had lived before moving to Munich in the year 2011, she has directed art workshops in English and Polish at two of the National Museum's branches: in the main building's gallery of 20th century Polish art, as well as in the Cloth Hall's gallery of 19th century Polish art.
The artist currently lives in Bavaria (Munich and Fuerth), where she works as a freelance painter and an art teacher at a public high school.
