A self-taught artist, Sharmila, uses her canvases as a gateway to self-exploration and discovery.  The spiritual and otherworldly ambiance that her works exude is only heightened by the sensitive and often veiled approach she has adopted to depict her subject matter. Be it the monks of the mountains, the beauty of nature, or even her abstract masterpieces, in all her paintings she succeeds in capturing the emotion of the moment and portray subtle sensations that linger with the viewer.


Dr. Sharmila is an orthopedic surgeon by profession and an artist by passion. She has participated in numerous art shows in both India and abroad. If there is one thing that Sharmila enjoys more than working in her studio, then it’s sharing her soulful creations with her friends...
